Preston chairman Peter Ridsdale has given the green light for new boss Graham Westley to enter the transfer market. On Sunday, Stevenage chairman Phil Wallace revealed an agreement with Preston that Westley will not poach any of his former charges during the current transfer window.
"You don't see teams and squads that are static - you see teams where some come in and some come out. And I expect that process to be the same here that it is anywhere else.
"I don't want to talk about budgets because that puts the prices up elsewhere, but we will move players in and out to the best of our ability in line with what Graham's views are on our strengths and weaknesses." "The first thing he's going to do is assess what he's got and then work with me on doing what we have to do to make this team stronger," Ridsdale told Press Association Sport. "If that means players coming in and out then that's a normal part of football.
