New Palermo chief Lo Monaco buys club stake

New Palermo chief executive Pietro Lo Monaco has revealed he's bought into the club.

Lo Monaco was appointed last week as Giorgio Perinetti was pushed out.

"I invested 10 per cent of my wages into the club and have become a shareholder," Lo Monaco told Radio Deejay.

"It was Zamparini's idea and I think that now the President will 'disappear' from the scene for six months to focus on other things.

"He has given work to many people and spent a lot of money for this club. Today Palermo, like other sides, have to think about how to be self-sufficient. As for the squad, I am optimistic, as we can get back on track with a few good results."
