Crystal Palace have tabled new terms to defender Paddy McCarthy.

The Croydon Advertiser says McCarthy has been offered a new contract - and co-chairman Steve Parish is confident of securing the centre-back for another year.

"Paddy is going to get a new contract, we're quite close to agreeing something with him," said Parish.

"I think it's another year on it. We haven't quite finalised it but that is probably what will happen.

"Paddy is part of what we've done here since the beginning and he'll go out on loan and get some games."
