Albanian oil baron Rezart Taçi has completed his takeover of Bologna.

This week the Menarini family confirmed they had agreed to sell 80 per cent of the Rossoblu's shares to oil magnate Taçi.

"The deal was signed on Thursday night and will be effective from August 3," announced the Albanian businessman.

"It is my personal pleasure to have a place in the Italian football scene. Our objective will be to reinforce this squad and remain in Serie A.

"Our second year will see an aggressive transfer campaign to consolidate the team and make it competitive.

"I no longer want to see a team in the bottom spots of the table."
