New Melbourne franchise keeping cards close

The majority owner of the new Melbourne A-League franchise, Peter Sidwell, is keeping his cards close as rumours begin to circulate.

Sidwell spoke to The Age from overseas but would not reveal exactly where he was as the club pursue a coach for their inaugural season.

It is believed Melbourne Heart are chasing an internationally-based manager to lead the team when they step into the A-League in the 2010/11 season.

"We expect sooner rather than later to make some announcements," Sidwell told The Age.
