Manchester United manager David Moyes has offered to help improve the standard of the Scottish Football Association's coaching course.
The Bearsden-born gaffer, who has departed Everton after more than a decade to replace Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford, spoke to the SFA's director of football development Jim Fleeting regarding providing his assistance in helping tomorrow's Scottish coaches.
"David phoned and asked if he could talk about the A-licence. I said 'of course'," said Fleeting.
"So I went down and met up with him at a hotel just off the M6 with Billy Stark and Donald Park.
"We just wanted him to tell it how it is and we sat there for three hours. He wanted to influence what we had and what we were doing.
"David was just trying to help us, he said he had seen so much in the past season. He tried to influence how we deliver the courses and it was great, refreshing for Donald, Billy and myself.
"I'd say 75 per cent of the things I have seen in the last two days is very inclusive of what David was talking about."
