New Lincoln boss Sutton looking to strengthen his squad

Chris Sutton has already brought Fulham defender Adam Watts to Lincoln on a month's loan, but is now looking to strengthen the squad further. The former Celtic and Blackburn striker enjoys good relations with Fulham having spent time observing Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson's methods over the summer, but the 36-year-old was quick to stress that any more potential new players will not necessarily arrive from the London club.

"We are working on a few things as regards strengthening the squad, although not necessarily from Fulham," said Sutton.

On Watts' debut in Saturday's 1-0 home win over Aldershot, Sutton added: "Adam was calmness personified.

"He did everything we expected of him, but it's still only one game."
