New Leeds boss Bielsa shrugs off Pochettino, Guardiola praise

New Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa is happy to have arrived amid praise from Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino.

Guardiola once revealed he felt Bielsa was the "best coach in the world" but the Argentine rejected that notion in the Gary Speed suite at Elland Road. Pochettino has also said he was a disciple of Bielsa.

"I don't want to be accused of false modesty," Bielsa said. "Guardiola is the best manager in the world. His ideas have been created by he himself. I've never seen any of my traits in his teams.

"As for Pochettino, he's built his own career and has built up his own style which is really quite unique to him. You can consider both of them as references. That they are references for others is more believable than me being a reference for them. I've studied their styles in depth quite a lot and I'm not just saying this to be humble, I'm convinced of it."
