Cagliari midfielder Pasquale Foggia has shut the door on a return to Lazio.

Foggia has been named in the Italy squad for the first-time after Cagliari signed him in co-ownership with Lazio over the summer.

The former AC Milan midfielder said: "At the moment I am happy here, then if another big club comes along, we shall see. It is very early to be thinking about the future, though.

"Lazio have lost me by now. Someone did not believe in me at the Olimpico, but perhaps some of that was my fault, as with the injuries I was unable to give the club what they expected."
