New injury setback for Sunderland's Meyler

Sunderland midfielder David Meyler has suffered a new injury setback.

Meyler faces another spell on the sidelines after twisting his ankle in training. The Irish midfielder, 20, was forced to leave a session at the Academy of Light after falling heavily following a challenge.

Club doc Glen Rae told safc.com: "It doesn't appear as severe as the last injury but he requires treatment."
