New Hull boss Steve Bruce will attempt to convince several of the club's players that their futures lie at the KC Stadium. Speculation is surrounding the likes of Cameron Stewart, Robert Koren, James Chester and Liam Rosenior, who are all reported targets of former Hull boss Nigel Pearson at Leicester.
"Obviously we'll look to add to the squad and look to take the team forward. It's vital that we keep hold of the young players that we've got though and it's my job along with the chairman to make sure that we do.
"Pretty much all we've spoken about over the last two-and-a-half weeks is the ambition to get the club back into the Premier League. We know that won't be easy because there are lots of clubs in the Championship with the same philosophy.
"But the reason I'm at Hull City is because I believe we have got the ability to get to the Premier League. Certainly when you look at the stadium, fan-base and infrastructure - those are all in place and now we take on the project of getting to where the club wants to be." "I can't wait to get started because everything has been very positive so far," Bruce said. "We've got some very, very good young players here and I'm impressed with the calibre of player here.
