Mark Hughes recently bought a new house a stone's throw from Chelsea's Stamford Bridge.
The Daily Mail says Fulham were convinced that now-departed manager Hughes was going to sign a new contract when he bought a seven-figure west London property before Christmas.
His Georgian mansion, not far from Chelsea's King's Road, will certainly be handily located if he ever gets the call from Stamford Bridge.
Hughes is being linked with the job at Chelsea.
