New Fulham boss targets triple swoop to strengthen squad

Fulham boss Mark Hughes has made moves for veterans Eidur Gudjohnsen and Mikael Silvestre, reports The Sun. Gudjohnsen is close to joining on a year's loan from Monaco whilst Silvestre is a free agent after being released by Arsenal in the summer.

One signing that looks like it will go ahead is that of Algeria defender Rafik Halliche who will have a medical at Fulham tomorrow before sealing a £2.5million switch from Benfica.

Halliche, who impressed during the World Cup, said: "A move to England is simply sensational."
