Fulham boss Mark Hughes has made moves for veterans Eidur Gudjohnsen and Mikael Silvestre, reports The Sun.

Gudjohnsen is close to joining on a year's loan from Monaco whilst Silvestre is a free agent after being released by Arsenal in the summer.

One signing that looks like it will go ahead is that of Algeria defender Rafik Halliche who will have a medical at Fulham tomorrow before sealing a £2.5million switch from Benfica.

Halliche, who impressed during the World Cup, said: "A move to England is simply sensational."
