New Everton boss Marco Silva is chasing a deal for Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Silva and Marcel Brands, the Director of Football, believes he would help transform Everton into one ready to challenge again for a place in the Premier League's top six, says the Mirror.
Loftus-Cheek, loaned out by Chelsea to Crystal Palace last season, is expected to be available for another loan period, despite support within Stamford Bridge for the 22-year-old to be given his chance there.
Palace would love to extend his stay while Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez is another interested party.
But Everton are at the front of the queue believing a revitalised Goodison Park would suit England's World Cup starlet.
