New England women’s boss Neville won’t face charges for tweets

Phil Neville will not face any charges of previous disparaging comments regarding women after being named as the manager of the England ladies team.

Neville was appointed by the FA on the 23rd January, taking over from disgraced former boss Mark Sampson.

The former Manchester United full-back posted sexist remarks on Twitter in 2011 and 2012, and has apologised and deleted his account whilst being warned about future conduct.

His contract as women's head coach will run until 2021.
