New England Revolution captain Steve Ralston will miss the remainder of the MLS season after suffering a serious knee injury.
The 35-year old went down in the weekend's clash with Seattle Sounders and suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
Ralston will undergo surgery in the next few weeks to repair the injury.
He is currently the all-time games record holder in MLS with 378 appearances and was in great form for the Revs this season, netting seven times and providing seven assists in 20 matches.
