The New England Revolution waived Costa Rican forward Argenis Fernandez today. The decision makes room for recently-signed Ghanaian defender Emmanuel Osei.

The 22-year-old Fernandez joined the Revs last March after playing his entire professional career in Costa Rica's Primera Division, making two substitute appearances in MLS. He was loaned back to a Costa Rican club on July 2, 2008, where he spent the remainder of the calendar year.
