New England Revolution's Perovic making impact

New England Revolution recruit Marko Perovic is beginning to make an impact at his new club.

The Serbian midfielder netted his first goal with the club in the 2-1 loss to the Colorado Rapids on the weekend with a brilliant free-kick and head coach Steve Nicol believes he will only get better and better for the Revs.

"I think when he gets the ball, he's capable of doing something," said Nicol. "He lacks a lot of practice with us, but I'm sure once he gets that he will be a lot more consistent.

"You could see from the free kick what you can get with him. We are trying to get him the ball. We have to do a better job of that; there's no question about that."

26-year old Perovic joined the Revs this season from Swiss club FC Basel after beginning his career with Red Star Belgrade in his homeland.
