The New England Revolution has re-signed central midfielder Pat Phelan.
Per Major League Soccer and team policies, terms of the deal were not released.
Phelan, 26, made a career-high 28 regular-season appearances - and 34 appearances overall - last year. He started 25 league matches at either central midfield or center back, and saw additional time in both positions in SuperLiga and U.S. Open Cup action. Phelan scored two goals and added one assist in 2010, his first career points in MLS. His 28 appearances were tied for the club lead with Sainey Nyassi.
"Pat has played significant minutes for us during the past two seasons and is a professional both on and off the field." Revolution Vice President of Player Personnel Michael Burns said. "We're pleased he has reached a new agreement to remain with the Revs."
