Veteran goalkeeper Matt Reis has been offered a new contract by New England Revolution.
The 35-year old gloveman is currently the only Revs player out of contract after completing the 2010 season but the club has made it clear they are keen to retain his services going forward.
The Revs protected Reis from last week's Expansion Draft and will not place him in Wednesday's Re-Entry Draft in the hope that he will agree to the new deal.
In November, Reis indicated that he would be sticking around at the Gillette Stadium.
"I've talked with the powers that be long before today and got an idea of what they want to do and what we want to do," Reis told MLSsoccer.com. "I'm committed to the Revolution. I've been here for the good times, and, unfortunately, the last year was a bit of the bad times. I'm committed to helping this team rebuild and get back to where we need to be and fighting for a MLS Cup every year."
