New England Revolution midfielder Toja receives US residency

New England Revolution midfielder Juan Toja has been granted permanent resident status in the USA.

The 28-year old Colombian native first arrived in the States when he signed with FC Dallas in 2007 before leaving for Romania's Steaua Bucharest the following year.

However, Toja has been back Stateside since joining the Revs from Greek side Aris Thessaloniki last year and is now classified as a permanent resident.

Toja's new status allows the Revs to take him off their international roster which now contains six players consisting of Jerry Bengtson (Honduras), Diego Fagundez (Uruguay), Jose Goncalves (Portugal), Dimitry Imbongo (Congo), Saer Sene (France) and O'Brian Woodbine (Jamaica).
