New England Revolution midfielder Ousmane Dabo says his former Lazio coach Roberto Mancini is tough enough to handle the egos at Manchester City.
The Frenchman insists Mancini betrays his calm exterior with an inner steel capable of resisting the toughest of opponents.
"He has a big temper," warned the midfielder.
"He has to speak with big players who have a big ego. In that situation, you have to be strong because it is important to handle the team."
Under Mancini's tutelage, Dabo is convinced City will achieve far more than the FA Cup secured last May that ended a depressing 35-year wait for a trophy.
And he insists the Italian's reputation for dour, defensive football is undeserved.
"I saw a lot of games last year," he said.
"I don't think he is very defensive. They scored a lot of goals and played very well and it will only get better and better.
"City have so many players, so they can handle playing in the Premier League and the Champions League. In fact, I think they can win the league.
"Roberto has already won the title in Italy with Inter Milan so I am not worried about Manchester City.
"The future looks good for them."
