New England Revolution will be without experienced defender Chris Albright for at least six weeks. Albright has undergone successful surgery on the lateral meniscus in his left knee. The procedure was performed this morning by head team physician Dr. Bertram Zarins at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Albright, 30, required the surgery because of a tear in his left lateral meniscus, an injury which he originally suffered in training the week before the April 17 match against DC United.
However, Albright travelled to DC with the team pending results of a scan on his knee, which revealed the tear. He is expected to miss 6-8 weeks while recovering from the surgery and rehabilitating his knee.
