New England Revolution general manager Michael Burns was fairly positive following the 2014 MLS SuperDraft last week.

The Revs selected forwards Steve Neumann and Patrick Mullins with picks four and 11 respectively and midfielder Alec Sundly with pick 31 and Burns feels they were solid selections after losing Juan Agudelo to Stoke City.

When quizzed on how New England performed in the draft, Burns was optimistic just as he was when they picked up defender Andrew Farrell with pick one last year.

“It’s too early to tell,” Burns said of how the new recruits will fit in.

“Last year at this point, we felt really good about Andrew as well. But you never really, really know until you get them into camp, you start preseason and until they start training against and with our guys and seeing how they adjust.

“We do feel pretty good, but it remains to be seen how it will all play out.”
