New coach Rennie to make some alterations to Vancouver Whitecaps squad

The 2011 Vancouver Whitecaps squad is likely to look very different next year with the arrival of new head coach Martin Rennie.

The 36-year old Scot made a massive number of changes to the Carolina RailHawks roster he inherited in 2009 and it paid handsome dividends with the club taking the North American Soccer League title last year.

Rennie is tipped to do something similar at Vancouver after the club finished dead last in their debut MLS season and with a post-season camp coming up, he will have time to oversee the 28-man squad along with some trialists.

Those likely to remain include Jay DeMerit, Alain Rochat, Camilo, Atiba Harris, Eric Hassli, Gershon Koffie and Carlyle Mitchell whilst there are question marks placed over players such as Davide Chiumiento, Joe Cannon, John Thorrington and Greg Janicki and many others.
