New Chicago Fire coach De los Cobos coy over Blanco, new signings

New Chicago Fire coach Carlos de los Cobos was coy over plans for his squad for season 2010.

The Chicago Tribune says De los Cobos left the door open to Mexican soccer legend Cuauhtemoc Blanco, currently with Veracruz, returning for another year.

And on the prospect of signing some of his former El Salvador players, he offered a "perhaps".

He has already studied tapes of the Fire and other MLS teams and has a broad sense of his new team.

"I consider it a solid team, one that was well-ordered and played a very direct game, very frontal game and was very organized from the back," he said. "The defense was very strong."
