New Chelsea striker Demba Ba admits he's drawn inspiration from Didier Drogba.

Ba doesn't want to be compared with the Ivorian great, but admits he's been an example to follow during his own career.

"I have taken much inspiration from Didier Drogba. Like me, he has had a career full of obstacles, but he moved past them every time. Anyway, if you do not take risks in life, you will get nowhere," Ba told Le Parisien.

"We are different players, but I appreciate Didier very much. It is difficult to compare me with him, given what he achieved with Chelsea. He has inspired me a lot in my career, although I am aware of my own qualities."
