New boy Celik ready to bring goals to Rangers

Mervan Celik is ready to provide goals for new club Rangers after being unveiled on the weekend.

The 21-year old Swedish winger, who signed during the week from Gothenburg club GAIS, was introduced to Rangers fans before the 1-1 draw with Aberdeen at Ibrox on Saturday and said he is looking to provide plenty of attacking nous for his new club.

"I will bring goals, play well and help the team to win,” he said.

"I can play on the left or the right, but the coach will tell me where I will play.

"Rangers are a big club and they have fantastic supporters. They play for the titles every year and they play in Europe.

"The coach was a big player, I hope he can teach me a lot. That's why I came here."

As for the match and result, Celik added: "It was okay, but it can be much, much better."
