New boss Luzon will have to wait for Charlton debut

New manager Guy Luzon will have to put his first game in charge of Charlton Athletic on hold.

UK work permit issues are stalling the Israeli's move to the Championship club meaning he will not be on the touchline for the weekend's trip to Watford.

Luzon, who has replaced Bob Peeters at Charlton, will have to wait until the required paperwork is obtained by the east London club before he can officially take charge.

That is not expected to occur until after Saturday's Vicarage Road fixture which has former Standard Liege boss standing by until the January 24 trip to Wolves.

First-team coach Damian Matthew and goalkeeping coach Ben Roberts will guide the 14th-placed Addicks this weekend in their clash with the Hornets who sit sixth.
