New Barcelona president Sandro Rosell says he will meet outgoing Barca chief Joan Laporta regarding the deal to bring Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas to the Nou Camp.

Rosell wants to speak to Laporta regarding the move for Fabregas.

"When we get together, Laporta will explain at what stage the Cesc situation is at. If negotiations are advanced and the coaching staff want the player, we will continue with the negotiations, without doubt," he said.

"Until July 1 we can't do anything (as Laporta and his team remain in charge for two more weeks), but if they need help then we will be the first to give it."
