New Barcelona football chief Guillermo Amor says Gerard Pique was fine after their draw at Atletico Madrid.

Pique was again barracked by home fans during the 1-1 draw.

However Amor, who just earned his promotion last week, insisted the defender was fine with the fans' reaction.

"It has happened in the last months in some fields, it has happened today and it can happen again," said Amor.

"The public is sovereign and it is normal, Gerard does not let this affect him, his performance is fantastic and he played perfectly."
