New Ajax chief Edwin van der Sar hopes to take advantage of his relationship with Manchester United.

Van der Sar was back at Old Trafford this week to bend the ear of United chief executive David Gill.

"That was an interesting conversation about what I can expect, how busy the job is, you name it," explained the 130-cap Holland international in Voetbal International.

"It's nice that the door is always open. There's a lot of know-how in both the football field and commerce."
