Erik Nevland is backing Fulham boss Roy Hodgson to succeed Fabio Capello as England coach.
Norwegian striker Nevland reckons his club boss is more than ready to make the step up, having already managed Switzerland and Finland.
"Hodgson could easily be England manager," said Nevland. "He has had a lot of success with international teams before so he knows that role - why couldn't he be England manager?
"If he did get the job then he would do it his way.
"He could pick who he wants and he would find people to fit in to his system."
