Neville upset with England fans jeering Spain captain Ramos

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has hit out at England fans jeering Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos.

For Spain's win last night, Ramos was playing on English soil for the first time since clashing with Mohamed Salah when Real beat Liverpool in the Champions League final in May.

“For all the booing there isn't a fan in the stadium that wouldn't like him to play for their club," he said. “He's the best - personality, character. You talk about a lack of leaders.

“He's a huge presence on a football pitch, Sergio Ramos.

“The more he gets booed, the more I think he's likely to stay on the ball.

“I think he enjoys it."
