Neville makes clear to Kenwright he wants Everton job

Departing Everton captain Phil Neville is keen on succeeding David Moyes as manager.

The Daily Star Sunday says Neville has met Everton chairman Bill Kenwright to discuss succeeding David Moyes as manager at Goodison Park.

The former England defender's playing contract is up at Everton but he could now take up a new role as boss.

There is also support at Goodison for coach Alan Stubbs.

Also in the Everton frame are Celtic boss Neil Lennon and Wigan's Roberto Martinez.

But Neville is regarded as Kenwright's first choice.
