Valencia coach Gary Neville has moved to assure VCF fans he is taking the job seriously.

Neville, after their draw with Real Madrid, has sought to clarify remarks that he didn't see himself as a coach in the long-term.

He explained: “I was talking about 15-20 years time when I talked about management.

“I don't want be a coach just for six months.

"I absolutely hope I'm here beyond six months, but I need to prove myself."

Neville added: “I actually felt really good out there watching that game. Even when they scored for 2-1 I felt frustrated but I felt good."
