Never-say-die Liverpool force Chelsea to go to £20M for Salah

Chelsea must break the bank to complete their capture of FC Basle winger Mohamed Salah. The Mail on Sunday says Chelsea's pursuit of Salah will end up costing the club £20million.

Liverpool increased their offer for Salah to £18.5m late last week when they became aware of Chelsea's interest, with £13.5m due to be paid as an straight down-payment and £5m in bonuses.

But Chelsea, flush with £37m from agreeing to sell Juan Mata to Manchester United, were able to gazump the Merseysiders again, agreeing to go to £20 million.
