German legend Gunter Netzer has told Schalke star Julian Draxler to resist a move to Arsenal.Arsenal are battling Bayern Munich for Draxler and Netzer feels the 20 year-old should remain in Germany.

"It is not yet decided where the road leads for Draxler. He identifies himself with Schalke, which right now is his sporting home. He is an outstanding talent with strong prospects for a bright future. But his development is far from complete.

"For such a young man the step up to a top club in Europe is difficult. Becoming a starter directly is a big challenge," said Netzer.

"With Draxler, I feel that the time is not ripe for a change. I would recommend that he matures in Schalke for a while and continue to perform in the national team."
