QPR veteran Ryan Nelsen is backing their move for Anzhi defender Christopher Samba.
Rs boss Mark Hughes has never given up and sees Samba as the man to wipe out glaring defensive errors.
Nelsen, 35, revealed he is in constant contact with his old team-mate and said: “I told him the weather in London is twenty degrees Celsius at the moment and he is missing out.
“I’d love him here. We had great times together. I can only hope and believe the deal could be on.”
