Neill urges Australian young guns to grab Socceroos chance

Australian national team captain Lucas Neill has urged the young guns in the squad to grab their chance with both hands. The Socceroos take on Poland tomorrow morning (4:30am AEST) in Krakow and Neill has implored the youngsters who get an opportunity to come in and give their all for their nation.

"The younger guys coming in are hungry," Neill said.

"I don't think some of them yet realise just how big an opportunity they have to grab the attention of the new manager and potentially be involved in this set-up for a long time.

"There definitely is the talent there and these guys need to realise that camps like this and games like this are a big opportunity to make an impression that can be lasting."

Neill admitted there was a sense of new beginnings under manager Holger Osieck and said things were going well so far.

"We are trying to create a new team under a new manager with a new style and a new influence and this team has the potential because they are already buying into the concept and the early signs are good signs," Neill added.
