Australian skipper Lucas Neill has set his nation the tough task of becoming a Top 10 ranked team. After the Socceroos defeated Uzbekistan 2-0 in Sydney last night, the West Ham and Australian captain declared that their goal was to be ranked in the Top 10 in world rankings.
When quizzed on what the Australian team could do, Neill replied with, "We want to be in the world's top 10.
"We have the desire, we have the players and we have the passion. Look, we want to be successful and we want to be in the top 10.
"We already can take the world's best 10 teams. We proved it by getting a great result away from home against Holland last September.
"We just have to keep progressing the way we are and unearth a few more gems.
"We certainly have a good platform to build on."
