Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo has told Jese Rodriguez to think long and hard about signing a new deal with Real Madrid.

Like Jese, Negredo came through Real's youth system before quitting to launch his senior career elsewhere.

"Playing for Real Madrid juniors is still complicated, in another era it was not so complicated, all the juniors had a chance," said Negredo. "Now is not the time for Madrid's youth system. Jese must have patience and work hard.

"It is one of the best teams in the world, I was not given the chance to prove myself, but I'm happy with how my career has gone."
