Alvaro Negredo is keen to stick with Almeria if they can qualify for Europe.

Almeria's stunning 4-1 victory at Sevilla has left them just three points behind their opponents, who currently sit in sixth place.

The former Real Madrid striker said: "We hope to finish among the top six at the end of the Liga. To go to Europe would be very exciting. For us and all the city it would be the best.

"We can still do it, we are not going to throw in the towel."

On the future of coach Unai Emery, Negredo added: "He is a great trainer who has given us much confidence despite the club coming from the Segunda Liga. It would be great if he stayed so we can all continue growing together."
