Seattle Sounders have confirmed that Lamar Neagle has signed a new contract with the club.
The 26-year old attacking midfielder, who is a Washington native, has penned an extension with the Sounders much to the delight of sporting director Chris Henderson.
"Lamar has a tremendous work capacity and has proven to be a threat in our attack," Henderson said in a statement.
"Lamar has grown up here in the Pacific Northwest and is a hometown favorite. He is a leader in our community and a great teammate."
The former Montreal Impact man netted eight goals for the Sounders last season after returning to CenturyLink Field following stints with the Rave Green in 2009 and 2011.
