Jesus Navas admits a chat with David Silva convinced him about moving to Manchester City.

Navas revealed he spoke to ­Spanish team-mate and City star Silva as he thought about a summer move to England.

And, in the end, there was no doubt in his mind where he wanted to be.

He said: "From when I first heard City were ­interested in signing me, I spoke with David about it.

"I was keen to come and he was keen for me to join City. So I'm glad it all worked out.

"Football-wise, it was a good moment for me to take up this challenge here. I am looking forward to winning things. I need to win cups and trophies."
