Former Sheffield United fullback Kyle Naughton is thrilled with his move to Tottenham.

"I wouldn't have imagined this in my wildest dreams - it's all happened so fast," Naughton told Spurs TV Online.

"I didn't expect to play for Sheffield United as soon as I did, and my first season went so quick. Now I'm here, I can't wait to start getting on with it again and seeing if I can play to the best of my ability in the Premier League.

"I'm a Sheffield United fan, I live 10 minutes from the ground, and I've only ever played for them, so it was a bit sad to leave.

"But to join a club as big as Spurs, I'm also very excited. So although I've left all my friends and family behind, this is a big move for me and something I thought I was ready to do."

On former Blades teammate Kyle Walker, who also signed for Spurs this week, Naughton added: "Kyle's a great player. He's strong, fast, and in the games he played for United last season, it's easy to say that he was Man of the Match in every one of them.

"I don't want to put too much pressure on him, but all I can say is that he is an exciting prospect who will be great to have here."
