​National Women Soccer League agree streaming rights

The National Women Soccer League (NWSL) has agreed a multi-year partnership with Verizon-owned over-the-top (OTT) streaming platform go90, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.

Under the terms of the deal, go90 will have the rights to show every game in from the US women's soccer league with the exception of the designated 'game of the week', for which linear TV network Lifetime will retain the exclusive rights.

Across the 2017 season of the NWSL, go90 will show 98 games via its smartphone app. The agreement began on 15th April.

"We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with go90, and are now positioned to deliver more content than ever before," said NWSL managing director of operations Amanda Duffy.

"With go90's digital capabilities combined with an enhanced digital broadcast production, we are excited to provide our fans with an entirely new digital experience and eager to introduce NWSL to go90's rapidly growing soccer audience."
