Nathaniel Wedderburn has been released by Stoke City.

Wedderburn joins Senegal midfielder Amdy Faye in being shown the exit door.

The 18-year-old midfielder was handed a professional contract by the club in January 2009. He spent part of the 2008/09 season on loan at Notts County, where he made 11 appearances.

Wedderburn also had a short loan spell at Hereford United this season.
