Nathaniel Chalobah handed £15,000-a-week Chelsea deal

Chelsea are securing the best young players to new contracts.

The Mirror says Chelsea have already spent millions on young players who are either waiting their chance at the club, or have been loaned out.

Roman Abramovich has agreed big money contracts for the most promising starlets, including Nathaniel Chalobah, a 17-year-old defender who has signed a staggering £15,000-a-week deal despite still being some way short of the first-team squad.

England Under-21 left-back Ryan Bertrand will be the successor to Ashley Cole and midfielder Josh McEachran, currently on loan at Swansea, is another good prospect.

They are seen as the Blues of the future, along with Chalobah and midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, 16, with Chelsea determined to put faith in their young blood.
